Pursuant to the principles of transparency, cooperation and participation, Ajman Department of Finance has adopted the concept of open data, as it provides through its website many files and documents that includes content for use and reuse aiming at enhancing participation, as well as promoting the level of knowledge of the department work and activities.
Adopting the open data policy is considered one of the leading practices that reflects the willingness of Department of Finance in Ajman of continuous development through openness to the community of The Emirate of Ajman by providing financial data and information in a transparent manner which are important for society and reflects the efforts of Ajman government in upgrading government services and projects, in harmony with Ajman strategic plan and the concept of open data
Open data is available data and information provided free of charge that any individual or entity can use, reuse, distribute or share with others without any technical, financial or legal restrictions.

General Guidelines For Open Data
- Providing open data about the services and activities of the department or information that are important to the public and would be valuable.
- Data availability periodically.
- Providing access to data without discrimination or any obstacles or requests for registration.
- Providing open data in real time, as much as possible and making it available in a manner suitable for technical use.
- Dissemination of data in file formats that are adjustable and truncated in a "cut-and-paste" form, as well as downloadable.
- Establishing an accurate description of the size and formats of the available files and providing the date of their publication.
Terms of Reuse
The open data of Department of Finance can be used, reused and republished by any individual, legal person or government, provided that the user shall adhere to the following conditions:
